How to play Left-Right-Center (LCR)
2–12 players
Left-Right-Center, or LCR, is a dice game of pure luck. Everyone starts with 3 chips, and each turn you roll a die for every chip you hold: the dice send chips to your left, to your right, or into the center pot. The last player who still has any chips wins the pot.
What you need
3 LCR dice — each has one L, one R, one C and three dots — and 3 chips per player. Ordinary dice work too: call 1 L, 2 R, 3 C, and 4 to 6 dots.
How to play
- Each player starts with 3 chips.
- On your turn you roll one die per chip you hold (up to 3 dice).
- Each die sends a chip somewhere: L passes a chip to the player on your left, R to the player on your right, C puts a chip in the center pot, and a dot means you keep it.
- A player with 0 chips is skipped on their turn, but can still receive chips from a neighbour and jump back in.
Winning
The last player with any chips wins the pot.
